We've Got Nature Down to a Science
|
Located in beautiful Balboa Park, the newly renovated San Diego Natural History Museum has nature down to a science. The Museum hosts some of the largest and most spectacular traveling exhibits. Past exhibitions include The Dinosaurs of Jurassic Park: The Exhibit, Epidemic! The Natural History of Disease, and BEARS: Imagination and Reality. In the new Charmaine and Maurice Kaplan Theater, ongoing screenings of Ocean Oasis take viewers on a giant-screen tour of the bountiful Sea of Corts and the pristine Baja California desert. Kids can meet Scholastics Ms. Frizzle and her Magic School Bus during Ms. Fizzles Wacky Science Sundays. During these sessions, new scientific subjects are explored each month in entertaining and outrageous ways. Programs such as these make the San Diego Natural History Museum your ultimate nature connection.
