San Gabriel California

The city of San Gabriel is the birthplace of the San Gabriel Valley and the site of the historic Mission San Gabriel, "Queen of the California Missions," founded by Father Junipero Serra in 1771. The 1,500 seats San Gabriel Auditorium is one of the region's cultural treasures and the home of the highly acclaimed Music Theatre of Southern California.

The community has substantial commercial land and is well connected to regional transportation. As a result, the city is experiencing a significant amount of investment and new construction, which is transforming many of the older business areas. San Gabriel is located in Los Angeles County just south of Pasadena between Alhambra and El Monte along Interstate 10 near the San Gabriel Mountains and the Angeles National Forest.

San Gabriel is part of the Los Angeles-Long Beach, California metro area.
