Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History

Set in historic Mission Canyon, the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History is one of the most beautiful small museums in the United States by virtue of its natural setting and gracious Spanish-style architecture. Exhibits concerning American Indian tribes, animals, birds, insects, plants, minerals, marine science and geology are all housed within the museum. Features include a 72-foot Blue Whale skeleton, the region's only public Planetarium and observatory, a creekside setting and a unique Museum Store.

The museum is open daily excluding New Years Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
