Portola Railroad Museum

Situated a mile south of Hwy 70 on county road A15, the museum contains more than 100 historic Western railroad locomotives and rail cars, including a 1950 streamlined diesel and a Union Pacific Centennial, reputed to be the world's largest diesel locomotive.

The museum is housed in a former diesel shop, and the museum also displays railroad relics. Caboose rides are given every half-hour on weekends between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Admission is charged during certain events. Please call to inquire.
