Point Dume State Beach

Point Dume State Beach features headlands, cliffs, secluded coves and tidepools. Westward Beach, part of Point Dume, is a large sandy stretch of shore that is popular for swimming, surfing, scuba diving and fishing. The beach headlands offer views of the coast, including the sight of migrating California gray whales between November and May.

The beach, which is operated by Greater Los Angeles, is 18 miles west of Santa Monica. The entrance is on Westward Road.
