Plymouth California

Located on the northern edge of Amador, Plymouth is the site of the Amador County Fairgrounds and annual county fair each July. The town was founded in 1871. The Empire Store building is one structure remaining from the mining days. The community occupies 1 square mile, with a small population of about 820.

Plymouth is located in Amador just southeast of Sacramento between Sacramento and Angels Camp along Highway 16 near the Pardee and Camanche reservoirs.

There is also a Plymouth, Michigan.
