In Tuolumne County, this Sierra Nevada mountain resort community offers summer and winter recreation on nearby Pinecrest Lake. Pinecrest is located north of Strawberry on State Highway 108. To the southeast is Yosemite National Park. To the north is Lake Tahoe. The entire are is sparsely populated and offers countless opportunities for four season outdoor activities.
Pinecrest is in the Stanislaus National Forest. The local National Forest Ranger Station is Summit Ranger Station.
