Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park

With 800 acres of Redwoods, conifer, oaks and other trees, Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park offers wildlife from wild boars and raccoons to water ouzels and belted kingfishers. Hikers can enjoy the many scenic loops, including a self-guided nature loop. Overlooks provide a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean and the Big Sur Gorge. Campsites along the Big Sur River as well as The Big Sur Lodge offers overnight accommodations.
The park is located 26 miles south of Carmel on Highway 1.
