Patrick's Point State Park |
Located 25 miles north of Eureka and 56 miles south of Crescent City, this park offers a combination of beaches, hiking trails and Sumeg Village, a reconstructed Yurok Indian village. The village is used by the local Yuroks for educating their youth and to share their culture with the public. Adjacent to the village is a native plant garden with the local plants that were used for baskets, food and medicine. The park offers 124 developed campsites, hike & bike and group campgrounds. If you prefer, there is also an old-time cabin and one yurt available and reservations are recommended.
Annual rainfall is 60" and the summer temperatures range from 40 to 65 degrees. Picnic sites, showers, and handicap facilities are available.
Ocean fishing with a California sport fishing license is permitted for game fish, crabs, abalone, and clams.
