The Ocean Institute Experience is the Teacher.

Due to overwhelming demand, the public will now have opportunities to explore the Ocean Institute's newly opened learning centers with our expert staff.

Families will be admitted into the classrooms to participate in ever-changing activities that might focus on the life cycles of jellyfish using microscopes, or intertidal life in the boulder field surge tank!

Interactive storytelling, feeding sessions, behind-the-scene tours, and many other opportunities for guided discovery with institute scientists will provide visitors with a uniquely personal experience that introduces them to a world-class teaching facility where education is the primary goal.

Whale watching tours and Historic Voyages on the tallship Spirit of Dana Point are available as well.

Reservations are not required. Ocean Institute members get in free and receive discounts on other weekend programs, including gift & bookstore purchases!
