Mountain View California

At the "Heart" of Silicon Valley.

Mountain View is a pleasant place to reside or visit as it offers daytime temperatures often in the fifties and sixties in the winter and the seventies and eighties in the summertime. This fact makes Mountain View a pleasant place to be year round.

The area was once covered in orchards and vineyards. Mountain View began as a stagecoach stop and an agricultural center for the lush Santa Clara Valley. The town was incorporated in 1902. Just one mile from Stanford University along El Camino Real.

Mountain View offers some of the best recreation the Bay Area has to offer. The city has many city parks including Shoreline-at-Mountain View Park, featuring an 18-hole golf course, a sailing lake and a wild life interpretive trail.

Mountain View is located in Santa Clara County just southeast of San Francisco between San Mateo and San Jose along US Highway 101 near the San Francisco Bay and Interstate 280 and the Pacific Ocean. Mountain View is served by the commuter train CALTRAIN.

There is also a Mountain View, Hawaii.
