Mission San Juan Bautista

Founded in 1797, Mission San Juan Bautista is still an active Catholic church. The largest of the Spanish Missions, Mission San Juan Bautista is the only one with a three-aisle entrance to the altar.

The mission at present has three of the original nine bells from the chapel and is furnished in period pieces. An adjoining convent wing has relics.

The mission is closed Mondays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Tours are free but donations are accepted.
