West Hills Medical Center
|
The beginnings of West Hills Medical Center (WHHMC) can be traced back to 1961, when the facility opened to care for residents of what was then a largely rural area of the San Fernando Valley. WHHMC opened its current 236-bed facility in July 1975. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, WHHMC continued to add sophisticated clinical programs, bringing important medical and surgical services. The staff has grown as well. Today, the hospital employs more than 900 staff members, making us the largest employer in the city of West Hills.
