Northridge Hospital Medical Center's Sherman Way Campus has a rich heritage of serving residents of the San Fernando Valley. The Van Nuys facility was the very first hospital in the Valley, opening in 1929 with 40 beds. Today the hospital provides healthcare services to communities comprising 800,000 men, women and children.
A 209-bed acute care, nonprofit hospital, the Sherman Way Campus provides a wide range of women's services, emergency care and psychiatric services, and also meets the unique needs of patients through bilingual prenatal and maternity services, pulmonary rehabilitation, and the Center for Wound Care.
