Barstow Community Hospital

Opened in 1958, Barstow Community Hospital (BCH) is a 56-bed acute care hospital located in Barstow, Calif. Owned by the City of Barstow and operated by Community Health Systems Inc., the hospital provides comprehensivehealth care services, both inpatient and outpatient, to the surrounding High Desert community.

BCH offers some of the latest technologies including a nuclear medicine department, cat scan, mammography imaging and a fluoroscopy room to name a few. BCH offers these "big city" services with a "small-town" focus on customer service.

HCIA/Mercer, a respected healthcare provider consultant firm, selected Barstow Community Hospital as one of the "100 Top Hospitals in the Nation" for both 1996 and 1997. The hospital is licensed to operate by the State of California and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and the California Medical Association.
