City Of Hope National Medical Center

Standing on more than 114 acres, City of Hope is now a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, and one of the most advanced medical and research facilities in the world. The medical advancements made at City of Hope touch the lives of millions of people around the world.

City of Hope National Medical Center and Beckman Research Institute has a total of 212 licensed beds and 153 operating beds. City of Hope is one of the largest providers of bone marrow transplantation services in United States. In fiscal year 2000, City of Hope had over 116,000 outpatient visits, and nearly 4,200 admissions.

The fiscal year 2001 operating budget is approximately $285 million. There are 136 full-time physicians and 197 PhDs on staff. The total number of employees exceeds 2,400.
