Mariposa California

Mariposa is located in Mariposa County, (of which it is the county seat), at the intersection of Highway 140 & Highway 49 southeast of Stockton between Merced and Mammoth Lakes. The town is near the Merced River and Lake McClure. Mariposa has a rich historical past, wonderful scenery, and unlimited recreational opportunities.
