Los Angeles Zoo |
Located in Griffith Park near the junction of the Ventura and Golden State freeways, the zoo covers over 100 acres and his home to over 1200 mammals, birds and reptiles, including many rare and endangered species.
Prominent features of the zoo are the great ape families, a reptile house and an aviary. Animals that are indigenous to the Southwest are displayed on Adventure Island in their natural habitats. Open daily except Christmas.
