Leonis Adobe |
One of the oldest houses in Greater Los Angeles still remaining from the period of Mexican rule, Leonis Adobe in Calabasas was the home of Miguel Leonis, who played a prominent role in early Los Angeles history.
The house is one of the best preserved Monterey-style adobes in the area. Another house of historical importance, the Plummer House, has been relocated to the site. The Plummer House was the first house built in Hollywood.
The grounds are closed Monday and Tuesday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Donations are appreciated.
