Lassen National Forest
|
The Lassen National Forest surrounds Lassen Volcanic National Park and contains the Caribou, Thousand Lakes and Ishi wildernesses in northern California. Camping is permitted in the wilderness areas, with campfires requiring permits except in the developed areas. Hunting, fishing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling are also allowed. Water recreation is enjoyed on [lkalmanor]. Trout fishing is popular on Eagle Lake and Hat Creek. Due to the high elevation, the season only runs from mid-May to mid-October in most places.
