City of Festivals

Indio, California is one of the sunniest places in the United States, rarely taking any rainfall. Indio is known for its fabulous golf courses, tennis, wonderful shopping boutiques, fine dining, and an exciting casino nightlife.

Indio is known as the City of Festivals. Beginning Thanksgiving weekend Indio hosts three Native American powwows, the International Tamale Festival, the Southwest Arts Festival, and the National Date Festival. The fun and celebration carries on through the holiday season. Indio also host many national sporting events including the famed Skins golf game and the Indio Desert Circuit.

Indio is near many resort destinations such as Palm Springs and Indian Wells. Indio is also one to the largest gateways to Joshua Tree National Park.

Indio is located southeast of Los Angeles between Palm Springs and Blythe along Interstate 10 near the Salton Sea and Joshua Tree National Forest.

Indio is part of the Riverside-San Bernardino, California metro area.
