Comments: I have been taking my dog to San Mateo Animal Hospital for years, and have been impressed with the nice staff and the courteous vet Dr. Walsh. This is why I was shocked when I brought my dog in the day he became ill, and the hospital's owner Dr. Haddad (who has never before seen my dog, and never been his vet) ordered my dog to be euthanized without my knowledge or consent, and without even discussing it with me. She misread his file and insisted that he had medical problems that didn't exist. Dr. Haddad arrogantly refused to review the file with me, or to consult with my other vet specialists. For someone who treats her dog like a child, it was a traumatic experience to have her dog euthanized within hours of becoming ill.
