Southern California Conservatory of Musi

Southern California Conservatory of Music is located in Sun Valley, Los Angeles County, CA. Total enrollment is approximately 120.

SCCM is a performance school specializing in children's and adult preparatory programs. There are three academic divisions: Preparatory, Conservatory, and the Degree Program. Special features include a Childrens Opera (Young Musical Theater), instrumental and vocal training, a jazz and classic guitar program, the Computer Music Arts Program and the Braille Music Division.

For blind students, a full curriculum implemented through braille music literacy is offered. Transcribing services and braille materials are provided free-of-charge to SCCM students. Reading and writing of braille music is taught as part of the program by a Library of Congress certified Music Braillist. The Computer Music Arts Program offers classes in midi recording, arranging and editing, as well as Braille Music Transcription using the Goodfeel Midi Music Transcriber.
