Simpson College

Simpson College was founded in 1921 as Simpson Bible Institute. Established in Seattle, WA, the school was named in honor of Albert Benjamin Simpson, a Presbyterian minister who pioneered the Bible institute movement during the late nineteenth century and founded The Christian and Missionary Alliance.

Simpson relocated to its current location in Redding in 1989 and began building a brand new campus, which is still a work in progress.

Today, Simpson students represent a range of Christian denominations. Typically, about 50 percent are members of The Christian and Missionary Alliance; the remainder are associated with more than 30 different denominations and several independent churches.

Four-year programs include Business and Human Resources Management and Church Education Ministries.

Associates degree programs include Biblical Studies, Pastoral Studies and Social Science for Teachers.

The College is located in Shasta County and has an enrollment of about 1000.
