The University is organized into six Colleges that house nearly 50 academic departments and divisions. Cal State L.A. offers a variety of majors leading to bachelor's and master's degrees, and awards more than 3,000 academic degrees annually. A doctorate in Special Education is also offered.
Cal State L.A. is located five miles east of the Los Angeles civic center and near the western San Gabriel Valley cities of Alhambra and Monterey Park.
CSU-Los Angeles is , located in Los Angeles County, with a total enrollment of about 18000.
Athletic scholarships are given in football, basketball, baseball, track/cross country and other sports and student housing is available for 1006.
