Orange County State College started classes for 452 full- and/or part-time students in September, 1959, using leased quarters for its administrative offices on the Fullerton Union High School campus and for its classrooms at Fullerton s Sunny Hills High School. Their curricula now includes 97 degree programs (52 undergraduate and 45 graduate) as well as numerous credential and certificate programs. The College of Business and Economics is home to the nation's second largest undergraduate enrollment in business, according to the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business
Today's campus is built on 228 acres of what once was part of a vast orange grove. Located in Orange County, Fullerton State has a total enrollment of about 24000 with student housing available for 396.
Athletic scholarships are given in basketball, baseball, track/cross country and other sports.
