Butte College |
In 1974, Butte College moved from a temporary campus in Durham to its present location at the intersection of Pentz and Clark roads. Situated on the northeast side of the Sacramento Valley on rolling, oak-studded land at the base of the Sierra Nevada range, the main campus, located in Oroville, covers 928 acres near the geographic center of Butte County. Most of the campus is undeveloped and has been designated a wildlife refuge. The college maintains three separate educational facilities in the cities of Chico and Orland, and also offers classes in most of its district's communities.
Butte offers the Associate Degree Programs in Arts or Sciences, Certificate of Achievement Programs, Certificate of Achievement Programs and Career Upgrading and Retraining Courses.
