Hermosa Beach California

Incorporated on January 14, 1907, Hermosa Beach was originally part of the ten-mile Ocean frontage of Rancho Sausal Redondo. Hermosa means beautiful in Spanish. The average temperature of the city is 70 degrees in the summer and 55 degrees in the winter.

Visitors and residents of the area may enjoy surfboarding, skateboarding or boogeyboarding, as well as many other beach activities. Hermosa also offers several fine choices in entertainment, including the nationally famous Comedy and Magic Club. Residents and visitors may also take advantage of the many restaurants in Hermosa Beach.

Besides year-round beach activities; winter skiing is only a few hours away at Big Bear, Mt. Baldy or Lake Arrowhead. Several National Forests are within a short drive of Hermosa Beach.

This coastal community is located south of Santa Monica on Highway 1, just west of Greater Los Angeles.

Hermosa Beach is part of the Los Angeles-Long Beach, California metro area.
