Harvest Time Restaurant

Built in 1929 and known as the Milias Hotel, The Harvest Time Restaurant was constructed on the same land where George Milias Sr. had operated a restaurant that was started in 1885. The restaurant was known for its excellent steaks and generous drinks. It was the focal point of visitors that traveled from the San Francisco Bay area to the Monterey Peninsula.

Many celebrities enjoyed the hospitality that was extended by the Milias family. Among some of the celebrities some notables were John Wayne, Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Tennessee Ernie Ford and Will Rogers.

The Harvest Time Restaurant is open Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Breakfast hours at the restaurant are Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and lunch is from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Reservations are recommended for Friday and Saturday night.
