Feather Falls
|
Feather Falls, the sixth tallest waterfall in the continental United States, can be viewed from Lake Oroville (via the Middle Fork of the Feather River) or by hiking.
This magnificent 640-foot waterfall is taller than Bridal Veil in Yosemite National Park, and the view is breathtaking. The hike is about seven miles roundtrip and takes about four hours. Because the hike itself is so beautiful, many visitors prefer to take a picnic lunch and make a full day of it. Two trails are available; one rated as strenuous, ant the other as moderate. Both hold lovely forest scenery, and many types of flora and fauna.
