Eagle and High Peak Mine |
The Eagle and High Peak Mine is an authentic 1870-era gold mine. Visitors can explore tunnels and see authentic tools, machinery, trucks, cars and more.
Visitors to the mine can take hour-long guided tours through this 1879-era hard rock gold mine. There are also rock and mineral displays, a gold panning demonstration, picnic area and restrooms.
Cameras are okay. Special arrangements can be made for groups.
To get to the Eagle and High Peak Mine take Main Street to "C" Street, and take road to the top and follow the signs. Admission is charged.
