Discovery Museum |
The Discovery Museum of Sacramento is a family-focused educational institution dedicated to enriching the lives of local residents and visitors to the Sacramento region by encouraging the exploration of history, science and space. The museum offers five themed areas that comprise the museum. They offer exhibits relating to history, science and technology. Original artifacts and hands-on, interactive exhibits are featured. Displays include a million-dollar Mother Lode gold collection.
The Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The Museum is closed Mondays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
