Devil's Postpile National Monument |
Near Mammoth Lakes and surrounded by Inyo National Forest, Devils Postpile National Monument features a sheer wall of basaltic columns more than 60 feet high. Two miles away, the middle fork of the San Joaquin River drops 100 feet over Rainbow Falls.
Rangers conduct interpretive walks and campfire programs from early July through Labor Day. Pets are allowed on leash only.
