Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose |
Surrounded by Guadalupe Park, the Children's Discovery Museum leads children to discoveries about themselves and the world around them through changing interactive displays and programs. The striking 52,000 square foot purple building, designed by Mexico City-based architect Ricardo Legorreta, signals the purpose of Children's Discovery Museum to serve the needs of children, families and schools as a center for learning and discovery.
The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday and some holiday Mondays. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
Reasonably-priced food and beverages are offered in the Kids' Cafe, operated by Hope Rehabilitation Services. The surrounding Guadalupe River Park offers ample space for picnics.
