Luxury catamaran (largest on the West Coast) departs daily from Balboa Pavilion at 9:00 a.m. for romantic Catalina Island. The Catalina Flyer returns from the island at 4:30 p.m. daily and arrives back at Newport at 5:45 p.m. The Catalina Flyer makes the trip in only an hour and a quarter. Fares are as follows: Adults; $42.00 (13 years and older); Seniors $39.00 (60 & older); Child $25.00 (3 years to 12 years); and Infants $ 3.00 (2 yrs. and under). Reservations are required.
