Cal Lutheran, founded in 1959, is a private, nonprofit liberal arts institution affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. The comprehensive university offers undergraduate programs in arts and sciences and education. Four graduate schools are also offered.
The 290 acre campus is in an urban area 45 miles north of Los Angeles in Ventura County, midway between Santa Barbara and L.A. Including residence halls there are 34 buildings. There are over 35 clubs and organizations on campus.
Campus tours are offered through the admissions office.
