Cakebread Cellars |
A stone planter brimming with bright flowers welcomes visitors to Cakebread Cellars.
Founded in 1973 by Jack and Dolores Cakebread, the winery is a family operation with son Bruce Cakebread as winemaker and his brother Dennis as business manager. Sixty-five acres of vineyard surround the redwood winery, built in 1980, which won an architectural award, and the Cakebreads own another eleven acres nearby.
Cakebread Cellars is open daily from 10:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. for tasting, excluding New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas. Appointments are required for tours.
