Buena Vista Aquatic Recreational Area
|
Buena Vista Aquatic Recreational Area is approximately 25 miles southwest of Bakersfield, CA. The Buena Vista is a manmade site, completed in April, 1973, when it took 43 days to fill both Lake Evans and the much larger Lake Webb with over 2,300,000,000 gallons of water. Activities include boating, jet skiing, fishing, and camping. The amenities include several attractive installations of children's play equipment, one in the shape of a giant toy soldier, two concession buildings, and three covered picnic areas reserved for large and small groups, numerous other picnic spots throughout the park, three boat launching sites and an RV dump station.
