Bike Traffic is an inner-city bicycle mechanics training program for youth. They are a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide job placement, crime prevention, bicycle safety, and mentoring for young people, ages 7 to 17. Bike Traffic provides opportunities for these youth to learn job skills by building and repairing bicycles.
Located in the Western Addition, San Francisco, they have enrolled 200 boys and girls from many different ethnic and economic backgrounds. Some of the youth participants have been enrolled in the program since its inception in 1993.
