Angel Island

An island in San Francisco Bay east of Sausalito.

While visiting Angel Island one can bike, hike, take a tram tour, kayak, and more! Visitors have plenty of access to food and beverage while they explore the island at Angel Island's Cove Cave. Guests can also take an "Island Hop" and visit both Alcatraz Island and Angel Island on the same day using the same ferry service. This option is available June through September.

Angel Island has served as a hunting ground for the Miwoks, a Civil War encampment, a quarantine station during the Spanish-American War, a discharge depot and recruitment processing center during World War I.
