Angeles National Forest

Comprising more than 650,000 acres of land in the rugged mountains on the northern rim of the Los Angeles Basin, the Angeles National Forest ranges in elevation from 1234 feet in the San Gabriel canyons to over 10,000 feet at the summit of Mount San Antonio, also known as "Old Baldy." The terrain varies from arid desert to heavily timbered high mountain ridges. A wide variety of recreation is available.
