Located off Highway 101 at the Moffet Field exit, Ames Research Center is operated by NASA and includes the world's largest wind tunnels. Guided walking tours covering about two miles are offered two to three times per week.
A visitor's center features a moon rock, space shuttle model, artwork and models of space vehicles designated at Ames. Lab tours are usually given and must be arrange 4 to 6 weeks in advance. Now, tours are not being given until further notice. Please call to verify when touring will resume.
