Almanor Basin |
The Almanor Basin offers many hiking opportunities, including the paved Lake Almanor Recreation Trail that follows the west shore of the lake. The Almanor area also is close to magnificent hikes within Lassen Volcanic National Park and the nearby Caribou Wilderness Area.
The Almanor Basin area in the north end of Plumas County features a paved route that follows the west shore of Lake Almanor. Another flat loop trail suited for families follows the upper reaches of Lake Almanor as well as a creek.
